There are times when the composition and lighting lend itself very well to something creative , aside from the photograph itself. Just something a little different and fun. There is a new form or art out there-digital art. I shoot with an eye toward that sort of thinking now. I have amassed quite a few images this fall, kind of like a squirrel does with nuts, to keep me busy all winter. This gallery is sure to grow alongside my progress. Let me know what you think. I love feedback on the stuff that's new territory for me.

Gray's Beach
Cape Cod, Ma

A new twist on an old place.
I've shot here often and there's only so many angles to shoot a boardwalk from. There's plenty of other cool shots at this location too but it's hard to not be drawn into the biggest thing in vicinity.
Plymouth Harbor

This guy was so fun to watch.
He pulled up next to me in a truck that fit him perfectly. Grabbed a hammer from the back of the truck and shut the door on his ancient black lab. Hopped in and rowed his dinghy against a stiff wind, a heavy rain and lots of chop eventually, rowing a pretty good distance through the inner harbor. When he finally got to his boat, the chop made it really difficult for him to get from the dinghy up into the bigger boat. He eventually did it and spent a good 45 minutes doing who-knows-what while being tossed around in the pouring, wind driven rain. It seemed most of the time he spent on board, he was looking for something. Then he'd find it and go perform the task at hand. He was oblivious to the weather, it seemed. I grabbed this shot of him as he was returning in the dinghy. Luckily, the rain had let up enough that I dared to expose my camera to the windy rain coming right at me. The dog was fun to watch too. Sort of a side show. He was wagging away while I was shooting this series.
This has no post processing, other than a levels tweak. it's an in-camera spin of a variegated coral bells plant.
Evening light with autumn ferns at the edge of the woods. This was accomplished in-camera, other than a tweaking of the saturation.
Something very pretty growing along the fence's edge at Jenney's Grist Mill in Plymouth.
