This was shot across the new tidal pool out over the sand bar where the waves roll in. It was fun just sitting here and taking it all in. The light and color changed dramatically in the hours before and after sunrise.

Well, the Smoker Craft is in! We took it out for sunset last night. I had fun trying to shoot lily pads that were bobbing by us in the colorful wake.

I love the sunrise noise that comes from a corn field full of cackling birds. Then they all fly away at once, which is also really cool. It's like a huge school of fish is the sky. In this shot, I think he was a little late for school!

Sheepdog Junction
Middleboro, Ma

It was shearing day at Sheepdog Junction and this little 5 day old lamb was motherless in the pasture until mom was done being shorn. The lamb cried incessantly in her absence. It would wander around the pasture and just lay down to sleep for about 3 minutes and then struggle with its new legs to get up again. Then it would baa it's little head off and then lay down again. This lamb was separated off from the rest of sheep and lambs because it's so young and could've easily been injured in the chaotic holding pen.
I've been photographing the going-on here on this farm for a month or so now. Photographically speaking, I haven't captured anything monumental but, journalistically I've got some interesting stuff. The purpose of the sheep is so that the sheep herding dogs have some sheep to chase. The owner teaches handlers and their dogs to herd by using commands only, either whistle or voice. It's amazing to watch.

Took a nice sunrise ride yesterday. My final spot was Monponsett. There were some gorgeous flower gardens around back that I totally took advantage of.
