Congratulations from me to me!!

Well, this is a big day in my little world. As of today, I finished school and am now a paralegal! And, it's also my birthday. So, I have officially begun to look forward and count backward!

In this shot, I preferred to have the sky as part of the reflection and not at the top where it boringly belonged. I liked the birch trees better like this too. And just to defy even more rules, I put the horizon line dead center. Such a rebel.

I am so fortunate to live near here. The hard part is dragging myself out of bed! Gorgeous misty, frosty morning.

I like this image because it seems to elicit all 5 five senses..... I can tell you it was dead quiet. Freezing cold. Smelled heavy of fall. Full of brilliant color. And sure looks edible.

The past week or so, the fog has really taken over the landscape around here. The temps have been in the low 60s by day and then drop back into the 30s at night. This is pretty much the early morning scene driving along the roads here. Very moody.

There was a bit of mist hanging over the water that was only barely visible until the sun hit it. It was gone so fast after that. Very pretty morning.

This house is so little, I can't imagine someone really lives in it, but someone does. I've always been intrigued by it and wanted to shoot it in the early morning light. I finally did. I'd like to shoot it again, with snow this time. All I keep hearing about is what a terrible winter we're in for here in New England so I shouldn't have to wait too long. Snow forecasted already for tonight! Last year, we had a record breaking low-snowfall winter. That was great in one way, but BORING as a photographer!
