To the hundreds of folks who belong to this community, you know what this gallery is all about. To the rest of the world, I'll explain....
It's nice to have a gallery that the only criteria is that you add something new to it every day. It can be of anything. The reason I wanted to join this community was because I am so random in my shooting habits. I can't wait to see what ends up in my gallery after a few months of this. Thanks for checking it out. Hope you enjoy looking as much as I enjoy snapping!

Donna Leombruno (hocusfocusd70) > Ice is a great subject source for my winter photographs. I don't plan it. It just happens. Ice is abundant this year so it's been interesting seeing all the variations of illumination and formation. Last night, I went to watch the sunset (again!) and only ended up with two shots of it. I was captivated by this "iceberg" heaved up onto it's side on the shoreline. As I was walking by it, I noticed how at just the right angle, it was illuminated in the the pink/purple color of the sky. So here you have it. A pink iceberg from the shores of Little Quitticas.
Donna Leombruno (hocusfocusd70) > The quest for color continues.....Boy, February and March are going to be tough! I'm keeping up though.
Straight up flower shots are a dime a dozen. I liked this shot of these South Station bouquets. This is SOOC- no post processing or editing. Happy Monday!
Also, some fun news on an older photo of mine....~http://hocusfocusd70.smugmug.com/popular/2/714863801_BXLuh#714863801_BXLuh
Donna Leombruno (hocusfocusd70) > Some droplet fun during a Quitticas sunset shoot.
Donna Leombruno (hocusfocusd70) > Sand dunes at Horseneck Beach, Westport , Ma
Why Kelly and I chose the coldest day of the winter so far to go to the beach.....I'm just not sure. It was 12 degrees with 45 mph winds! The sand was face-whipping and the winds so strong that it was actually hard to stand up and shoot. Very fun afternoon of shooting!
Donna Leombruno (hocusfocusd70) > Each time I shoot a sunset or sunrise (which is almost daily), I try to find a different perspective or add a new element to the composition. For this sunset over Little Quitticas, I was just about laying on the ground so as to incorporate the grasses into the foreground.
Donna Leombruno (hocusfocusd70) > A bokeh feast! I had a blast with a glass bowl full of brightly colored, little glass fish placed in the bright sunshine.
Donna Leombruno (hocusfocusd70) > I dug deep into the archives of 2 days ago for another ice marvel. It was so rainy yesterday, I barely even left the house! Thank you for all your comments on my ice image from yesterday's daily. I appreciate the time it takes to comment on a picture. Thank you.
Donna Leombruno (hocusfocusd70) > I went to watch the sunrise and was really taken instead, by the process of ice formation. I have never seen ice actually forming. The patterns were so interesting, especially with the low and colorful light of sunrise.
